TIG-MAX® LASER SYSTEMS

Thanks to its high laser power, the TIG-MAX® L HQ enables significantly faster welding processes compared with conventional TIG methods – whilst minimising heat input. As a result, there is virtually no distortion of the workpiece, and typical discolouration is almost entirely absent. This not only saves time but also reduces the need for rework and noticeably increases productivity.

The generous wire length of 10 metres offers the user maximum freedom of movement, even when working with large workpieces or in confined workspaces. Furthermore, the system can be easily combined with up to four wire feeders and, thanks to its open BUS interface, is ideally suited for future expansions or integration into automated production lines.

The software features an intuitive user interface that enables users to get to grips with it quickly. An integrated process database with predefined parameters for various materials and material thicknesses makes it much easier to select the appropriate welding programme. This enables even less experienced users to achieve clean and reproducible welds quickly.

All key parameters, such as laser power, swivel range, swivel frequency and wire feed speed, can be adjusted directly on the torch head via an integrated LCD display. This enables precise fine-tuning and ensures a consistently high-quality weld seam – even when requirements change. Furthermore, the system responds immediately and reliably in the event of faults or temperature deviations.

The ergonomically shaped laser welding torch fits comfortably in the hand and is constructed from flame-retardant, wear-resistant materials. An integrated display on the head provides real-time information on the status of the device. The dual-button control on the torch prevents the laser from being triggered accidentally, thereby meeting the highest safety standards. Thanks to the integrated water cooler, reliable continuous operation is possible without any problems, even at ambient temperatures of up to 40 °C.

In laser welding, a focused laser beam is directed onto the surface of the material. The high energy density ensures that the metal melts in a controlled manner and bonds through capillary forces and heat diffusion. This produces a deep-penetrating, uniform weld seam with high strength. As very little heat is generated, the surrounding material remains largely unaffected, thereby minimising distortion and residual stresses. This precise process is particularly suitable for demanding applications where quality and dimensional accuracy are crucial.
